Liliya Podkopayeva at the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen

Olympic Champion and founder of Health of Generations, Liliya Podkopayeva, took part in the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen initiated by Olena Zelenska.
This year’s main topic was child safety, particularly the safety of children during wartime.

In her message, Liliya emphasized how difficult it is to even put these words — “child safety during war” — in one sentence.

“Every day our children suffer from the cruelty of war: some were forcibly taken to Russia, others are held in detention and face torture. I believe that this summit will help draw attention to their pain and call for real action,” said Podkopayeva.

She reminded that Ukrainian children need not only protection but also dignity, and that collective effort is essential to ensure both.

“Children need our support. We must work together to ensure their safety and dignity.”
