Sensory Room for Children Opened at Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital in Boyarka
On December 24, 2024, a new sensory room was opened at the Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital in Boyarka — a special space designed to help children recover emotionally and physically after trauma.
The project was made possible through the joint efforts of the EkoMarket supermarket chain, the “Tvoya Opora” charitable foundation, and Olympic Champion and founder of Health of Generations, Liliya Podkopayeva.
Together, they raised 1.3 million UAH to create a safe and healing environment where children can play, relax, and rediscover the joy of childhood.
The sensory room provides therapeutic and play-based rehabilitation for children with autism spectrum disorders, emotional and developmental challenges, and the consequences of psychological trauma.
Here, doctors and therapists help children rebuild confidence, reduce anxiety, and learn to connect with the world around them again.
The Health of Generations foundation expresses gratitude to everyone who contributed — every donation helped bring this project to life and give children a sense of safety, care, and warmth.
